The castle of Zwingenberg is easily reached by car. Coming from Heidelberg you drive along the Neckar upstream on the B37; or from Heilbronn the Neckar downstream along the B27/B37.

Both trips take approximately 45 minutes. Parking can be found either, along the B37 in the village of Zwingenberg, from where you follow a narrow footpath across the train tracks up to the castle. Or you can leave your car at the train station, from where you can walk comfortably to the castle. Both walks will take you around 10-20 minutes.
Zwingenberg (Baden) is very well connected to the train system (S-Bahn) from Heidelberg and Heilbronn. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes from either direction.

The castle of Zwingenberg can also be reached by bicycle, coming from the other side of the river, away from the traffic. Upon reaching Zwingenberg a river-crossing, using the old ferry is necessary (see timetable).Once on the other side the castle is a 20min ride away.
